Caroline Huxtable has announced her upcoming Bellydance performance. Badra Bahiya Dance Troupe will be performing at My Father’s Place on October 31, beginning at 9pm. Costumes are encouraged, and there will be a DJ’ed dance party following the performance. I’ve attached an e-flier, feel free to send it to anyone you think might be interested.
Oneonta Taekwon-Do has donated a 3 month tuition package including a uniform and 2 private lessons to Main Street Oneonta, a non-profit agency. The package will be auctioned on October 23rd at the Foothills Performing Arts Center as stated below. This package is valued over $250 and will be auctioned with no minimum.

Owen McCabe of Worcester earns 1st Degree Black belt
On September 24, 2009, Taekwon-Do International recognized 14 year old Worcester resident Owen McCabe as a certified black belt. Having trained diligently since March of 2006, Owen was invited to test by Oneonta Taekwon-Do instructor Ray Mannion. In addition to his training in Oneonta, he attended camps and seminars under Grandmaster Suk Jun Kim, a 9th degree black belt and founder of Taekwon-Do International.

Congratulations to the Hill family for successfully earning their Blue belts on Sept 24, 2009.
For their promotion test, they were required to demonstrate basic techniques, step-sparring, and self-defense. They also performed Yul-Gok and broke two boards each with a rear leg side kick.
Congratulations to David Howard on his successful promotion to blue stripe. His test required a demonstration of Won-Hyo and a rear leg sidekick to break 2 boards in addition to fundamentals and self-defense.
