Mixed Martial Arts


The recent creation of the UFC has caused a sudden surge in the evolution of martial arts techniques worldwide. Oneonta MMA strives to identify and focus our training on the on the most effective sport fighting techniques currently used in modern Mixed Martial Arts competition.
Classes and practice sessions focus on refining high percentage and effective techniques taken from Brazilian Jujitsu, wrestling, and kickboxing. Our coaches come from competitive backgrounds and encourage students to compete. At this point we have a small but dedicated team successfully competing in grappling events.
Students with a variety of background experiences are welcome to join. Competition is recommended but not required. Physical contact, sparring and conditioning is a large part of our training, so it is recommended that new students be physically healthy and athletic.
