Goals for 2010 – Oneonta Taekwon-Do

If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll never get there.
– Yogi Berra

Dear Students,
First, thank you very much for the generous gifts. I was very surprised and happy to receive a gift I can enjoy with my family.

I have been thinking a great deal about the coming changes for Oneonta Taekwon-Do and wanted to share my goals with you.

As I started writing my goals, I prepared one of my Zig Ziglar Goal Worksheets which I wrote about in an article here.  There are a couple of interesting downloads and videos there that you might enjoy and benefit from.

Our highest priority is to move into a new space. We are relatively “below the radar” right now because we have not offered children’s classes. Once we offer children’s classes, there will be more adults who are interested and better understand what it is that we do.

In any case, my goals for the year are:

  1. Secure a new school location with a studio of 30’x40’ with showers.
  2. Bring a prepared team to NYC for Grandmaster Kim’s competition.
  3. Establish a demonstration team of 6-8 people to practice together biweekly for 30 minutes and give 4 demonstrations to the public in 2010.
    1. At the Farmer’s Market in the summer
    2. At the Oh Fest for charity
    3. At a school
    4. Somewhere else
  4. Maintain an average monthly student enrollment of 15 children
  5. Maintain an average monthly adult enrollment of 35 adults
  6. Employ an assistant instructor very-part-time to manage the children’s program.
  7. Earn $200 per month from the website
  8. Have no tuition increases until 2011
  9. Attend the Taekwon-Do International conference in NYC in June.
  10. Attend summer camp with 10 students or more.
  11. Attend 2 lunch classes and 2 black belt classes at Grandmaster Kim’s school.
  12. Practice each pattern 3 times at least once per week.
  13. Run 2 miles per week.

I hope you’ll join me in pursuing these goals and continuing the growth and strength of Taekwon-Do in the Oneonta area.  Thank you all for your continued hard work.  I offer you my best wishes for the coming year and know it will be an unforgettable one!
